Hymns for Weddings

The following is a list of hymns which may be suitable for weddings and are often chosen by couples getting married at Duddingston Kirk. The majority are taken from the Church Hymnary (Fourth Edition) [CH4] and the list is provided simply as a guide.
The Minister and Organist will be pleased to give further advice and guidance about the choice of hymns and other music for use at wedding services.

First line or TitleHymn no’ in ch4
All people that on earth do dwell
All things bright and beautiful
Amazing grace! how sweet the sound
Be still, for the presence of the Lord
Come down, O Love Divine
Dear Lord and Father of Mankind
Glorious things of thee are spoken
Glory be to God the Father
Great is thy faithfulness
Guide me O thou great Jehovah
Here I am, Lord (I, the Lord of sea and sky)
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty!
How great thou art (O Lord my God!)
How lovely is thy dwelling-place
I to the hills will lift mine eyes
Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us
Lord of the Dance (I danced in the morning)
Love divine, all loves excelling
Make me a channel of thy peace
Mine eyes have seen the glory
Morning has broken
Now thank we all our God
O Father, all creating
O God of Bethel! by whose hand
O God of love
O perfect love
Our God reigns (How lovely on the mountains)
Praise, my soul, the King of heaven
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation
Shine, Jesus, shine (Lord, the light of your love is shining)
Sing hosanna (Give me oil in my lamp)
Sing to the Lord a joyful song
The King of Love my Shepherd is
The Lord’s my Shepherd
