The following list will give you an idea of some of the activities at Duddingston.
You do not need to be a member of the congregation to join one and you will be made welcome.
All groups meet in the Church Hall, unless otherwise stated.
Sunday Club
Currently there is no Sunday club at the Kirk. However All are welcome at Duddingston Kirk and this especially includes children.
When children join us in the Kirk for worship, there is a Toy Box corner in the East Transept (turn left at the end of the left-hand aisle). Children are welcome to use the Toy Box. Adults accompanying the children are asked to sit close by to provide supervision.
Youth Groups
Parent and Toddlers
Wednesdays during school term time, 9.15 to 11.15 am
For babies and children up to the age of three with their parents, grandparents or carers.
Cost: limited to £1 per family, per week – including drinks, healthy snacks and biscuits.
Toys, books, trikes, larger equipment to climb on and music time. No need to book- just come along. See the Facebook page for more information.
Boys’ Brigade
Anchor Boys (Primary 2–3) Friday, 6 to 7 pm
Junior Section (Primary 4–6) Friday, 6 to 7.30 pm
Company Section (Primary 7+) Friday, 7.30 to 9.45 pm
Guide Movement
Rainbows (Primary 1–2) Monday, 6 to 7 pm
Brownies (Primary 3–5) Wednesday, 6.30 to 7.45 pm
Guides (Primary 6+) Monday, 7.15 to 9 pm
Groups for Adults
Art Group
A mixed group for all ages and abilities. Fridays from 9.30 am to 12 noon (except July).
Christian Aid Group
Duddingston Kirk has a very active Christian Aid Group which organises many events, including Sponsored Walk (May), Give A Day’s Pay (St Andrew’s Day) and an Annual Film Night.
Duddingston Kirk Players
A drama group which meets every week as a social gathering with occasional inputs into worship. No experience of acting required! Mondays from 7:00 pm in the Millar Hall.
Garden Club
Second Tuesday of the month from October to May at 7.15 pm. Annual Plant Sale (May) and Autumn Show (August).

In Stitches
Craft group meets on Mondays at 6.30 pm
Seniors’ Lunch Club
Thursdays from about 11.45 am (except July). Transport can be provided.
In 2015 the Lunch Club Volunteers received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service
(the equivalent of an MBE for an individual).
Walking Group
Monthly Sunday walks in a variety of venues.
